Into The Depths of Love PTU Animated

Only in the agony of parting do we look into the depths of love.

George Eliot

This tutorial was written by me on May 13th, 2013. Any resemblance to any other tutorial or tag is unintentional and is pure coincidencePlease do not claim my work as your own and do not post to any other website, blog or forum without permission from me. It is written with the assumption that you have a working knowledge of PSP and its components. It was written for PSP 9.

I recommend that you read through this or any tutorial you are attempting before starting it so you will know what to expect and how to get organized.

As with any of my tutorials when a plugin is required, change only the settings I recommend and leave the others on the default settings.

What you will need to accomplish this tutorial is the stunning art of Kurama Phoenix which can be purchased at Creative Design Outlet HERE, along with the rest of her amazing art.  You will also need this beautiful scrap by Chichi Designz which was inspired by this tube and is perfect with it...you can purchase the kit at Creative Design Outlet as well HERE.  Please support the arts and do not use Kurama's tubes without a license and certainly do not share her art or this kit.  Plugins are Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact and Eye Candy 4000.  Mask is mine and can be found right here on this blog...Trese Mask 313.  The animation is by Simone and can be found on her blog HERE at Scrappy Bit of Fun..thanks Simone for sharing your talents.  It is one of the Bling Series, the #3.  Fonts are Cocaine Sans and A Theme for Murder.

Let's get started....

Begin by opening all of your elements and your tube into PSP, you can minimize them for now...use my image as a reference for the elements I used.

Now start a 700 by 700 white image and paste paper 5 into your new image.  Resize 75% and apply your mask, merge group.  Then copy and paste the Wall element over the mask and resize it 75% as well.

Now for the Wall element layer go to Effects/Plugins/Alien Skin Eye Candy 5/Impact/Perspective Shadow and use these settings:

This plugin may require a little practice.  There are just a couple of important things to remember when shadowing is to attempt to make your shadows appear natural and to watch closely all the areas of whatever you're shadowing.  You can view all the areas by moving the little red box around at the top of the window of this plugin...

(You can tweak your shadows by moving the nodes around in the preview window. To move one node at a time hold down your CTRL key. You can move the whole shadow by holding down your right mouse button and clicking in the middle of the shadow.  It's very important to think about how a shadow would be cast realistically and how dark or how light it should be. This plugin is one of my favorites and one I use with nearly every single one of my tags.)

Now copy and paste your tube above the wall layer and resize it 110%, give it the same Perspective Shadow as you gave the wall element.

Above the mask layer copy and paste the moon element, resize it 75% and then go to Effects/Plugins/Eye Candy 4000/Corona and use these settings:

Now copy and paste the remaining elements into your working canvas, for the elements you wish to have more depth add the same Perspective Shadow as you used on the wall element and on your tube.

Add your name and give it a drop shadow...I used a second font for Phoenix, you can choose either of these fonts for your tag.

Add your copyright taking care that it is legal and legible and we will animate.

Now open Animation Shop (AS).  Go back to PSP and copy merged all of your layers, hold down CTRL + SHIFT and hit C. Back to AS and hit CTRL + v to paste new animation.

Open Simone's Bling Series #3 ani and resize it to 400 x 274.  Notice it has 31 frames, so we need 31 frames in our ani.  Duplicate the frames until you have 31 frames.  Be sure you are at the beginning of each ani by sliding the bar at the bottom all the way to the left until your are on frame 1.  Also be sure that all frames are selected and then carefully drag Simone's ani into your ani.

Resize to fit your needs, save as a .gif and you're done.

Thank you for trying my tutorial.  I hope you enjoyed it and maybe learned something to help hone your skills.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any issues or questions with any of my tutorials.
Blessings,

Trese
