Tears water our growth

This tutorial was written by me on May 15th, 2012. Any resemblance to any other tutorial or tag is unintentional and is pure coincidence. Please do not claim my work as your own and do not post to any other website, blog or forum without permission from me. It is written with the assumption that you have a working knowledge of PSP and its components. I wrote it for PSP 9, but it should be compatible with most versions.
I recommend that you read through this or any tutorial you are attempting before starting it so you will know what to expect and how to get organized.
As with any of my tutorials when a plugin is required, change only the settings I recommend and leave the others on the default settings.
What you will need to accomplish this tutorial is the very lovely kit by Gothic Inspirations called A Spring Garden...you can purchase this kit at her shop HERE. Thank you Jessica. This gorgeous tube by the amazing Zindy. You can purchase her tubes on her site HERE along with tons of other things she sells, like notebooks, pillows, badges, etc all with her beautiful art on them. Please support the arts and DO NOT use Zindy's tubes without purchasing a license to do so. Mask by me Trese Mask0113 which you can find for download right here on this blog. Font is Portfolio and it's a pay font, you can purchase it HERE or any elegant script font will do.
Let's begin...
First open all of your elements and your tube into PSP. You can use my image as a reference for which elements I used. Start a new 700 x 700 new white image, we will resize later.
Copy and paste Parchment 1 into your new image and then copy and paste Window above this layer and resize 65%. Next copy and paste Rope Wrap and resize 70% then go to Image/Rotate/Free Rotate and rotate 90 degrees to the right, duplicate and mirror and place each on both sides of the window. Give the window and the two rope wraps a slight drop shadow.
At this point copy and paste your tube on the top of your Window then grab your Selection tool with these settings:
Select the area at the bottom of your tube like the example below:
and hit delet a couple of times to erase the bottom of the tube and then in your layer palette select the Window layer and then with your Selection tool on the same settings as above delete the middle part of the frame like this:
Then go back to your tube layer and give your tube a Perspective Shadow by going to Effects/Plugins/Alien Skin Eye Candy 5/Impact/Perspective Shadow and use the following settings:
Copy and paste the remaining elements using my image as a reference for size and placement. For the mushrooms, the jar of flowers and the candles use the same perspective shadow as you did on your tube. Give the rest of the elements a slight drop shadow.
Add a new Raster layer above your background layer and flood fill with black, resize by 90% and apply your mask Trese Mask0113.
Add your name and copyright and you're done. For a neat and professional-looking copyright I use pixel or copy fonts. You can google and find them all over the internet. HERE are a few. These fonts work best with your antialias set to off and at size 6.
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and maybe learned something useful to hone your PSP skills. Please don't hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns with broken links, etc.
Blessings,
Trese
